CANNED FRUITS

Since canned fruits are  sterilized (cooked, to destroy all spoilage organisms), and are packed in vacuum, they remain intact for a long period. Once opened, will last as long as ordinary cut fruit, but will last longer if stored in a refrigerator. It is best to empty the contents from the can into a glass or stainless-steel dish.
We take lots of precautions while canning: ensuring that  no fermentation takes place in the can, that there is no hydrogen formation as a result of corrosion of the can or due to overfilling, or inadequate contents, and that there is no harboring of the deadly clostridium botulism.
